Morning Falls Landscape

I enjoy experiencing powerful waterfalls, don't you?

We drove through Cherokee National Forest in February, and there had been a lot of rain the week before and that night. The rivers and creeks we crossed were flowing fast and full. We hoped that Bald River Falls would be especially mighty, and we drove out to see.

When we arrived, it was striking. The spray was floating out over the bridge, and the weather was chilly. The sky was clear, and the sun was at the right angle to shoot sunbeams through the spray. I exposed this photograph to smooth the water a little yet still show its speed.

The scene was just spectacular. I hope this photograph allows you to share in our experience that morning.
