Angel the Great Egret

I love Egrets; they are graceful and beautiful!

Angel is flying by looking for a place to catch lunch with wings down. She is a Great Egret who stopped by Merritt Island to escape the cold up north.

Notice she has her head retracted, which distinguishes Egrets from other birds that fly with their head extended like Storks and Cranes.

The Great Egret is the symbol of the National Audubon Society.

Prints are available in open editions.
